| Last night I made a point of gathering an interesting piece of data on some opponents and wondered what people here think this data is worth: It started when I noticed one guy who in principle seemed like a strong player but was making kind of snap decisions at the table where I was and seemed to be folding a lot. So I just did a "find player" search to discover that he was playing, in addition to my table, one other ring table and 2 tournaments all at the same time (4 tables!!!!). My conclusion was simple but did have some consequences: There's no way this guy can read the individual players at all these tables. Hence, my "table image" is meaningless when I'm playing against him. This actually did change the way I played against him on a few hands. With my own limited experience in playing multiple tables (I gave it up pretty much precisely because I felt I couldn't adequately read more than 8 other players--that in itself is often already a handful for me), I tend to think that the best you can really do when playing more than 1 table is have an overall read on the table as a whole and maybe an individual read on a couple of players who stand out. Do any multiple-table fiends care to contradict me on this? | ||

| I also make notes on players that play more than one table and adjust my play accordingly. I expect more of a "textbook" unimaginative type of play from these players unless shown otherwise, which rarely happens. I know from my experience of playing more than one table it is a little more difficult to get a read on the gus that don't dominate a table. | ||
