| The people associated with rakefree.com used to operate pokerspot.com, where they stiffed many players for tens of thousands of dollars. All of this is public knowledge available through a Google search on Russ Boyd (his real name), but there are lots of people new to online poker who do not know this. Caveat Emptor. The time will soon come where there will be different options for rake, like maybe a monthly club membership, time charge etc. and when that happens I'll be the first to sign up, provided the people running it are legit. | ||

| Whoa Whoa Whoa how many times have I seen people talking about pokerstars and party poker I believe that is spamming so you stop doing it. 1. who wouldnt want to play on a rake free site and Im a regular on the site Ive went by names such as FUTRPKRSTR so Id appreciate a lot less attitude its fine that the guy says it once but he post's this same thing twice. And I will send a email to dutch himself to make sure this idiot knows what hes talking about. | ||

| Well, it is partly true. I was involved with Pokerspot.com, which did go down and many players lost money to the site. Part of the reason I am opening this site is to try to correct the harm done when Pokerspot folded... there isn't that much owed to players, and the assets in the Pokerspot company (i.e. software, patents, etc.) will hopefully be bought by this new company in exchange for paying off the old players. All of this is mainly dependant on getting the investors I need for this project. Hope that answers your question. | Don't just take Dutch's word for it.... do a search on RGP, about two years ago, I think (there have also been some recent posts referring to it in the last 4 months or so, I believe) The figure that I remember seeing, from people OTHER than Dutch, was in the half-million range.... but that might be overstated. I had no first-hand knowledge of this, but check with posters such as MS Sunshine and see what THEIR version of "not that much owed" is. | ||

| In no way was I trying to spam if thats what everyone thought I was just telling everyone that rakefree would be up and you may want to check it out I new spammed I just said that it was going to be up. Id love to play on a rake free site IDK about any of you. | ||

| weeeeeee! what an awesome idea, I'll bet nobody gets hosed THIS time... LOL Formless, I think you should post that blurb on EVERY thread that mentions rakefree. I personally will not consider even looking at their website unless they make good on EVERY red cent owed to pokerspot people. | ||
