Should you bet your draws in Hold'em?

When you bet a draw you have the potential to win the pot without making your hand if everyone folds.....Often, having everyone fold is a virtual impossibility and in that case you need to play your hand in manner to get the best odds you can from your draw......

So bet your draws if you think there is a possibility you will fold your opponents. Otherwise use your poker math skills to get the best value you can from your draw.

i would think it would depend on the game/stakes and the draw you have. In the early stages of a NL holdem tournament i would want to play a straight flush draw out for all its worth, especially if ive got a couple guys in with me and they look anxious.

Interesting, really, because I have been thinking of this lately. I have been relativly successful beting my draws. IfI have 3 or 4 people after the flop and I am 4 flushed or 4 to an open ended str8, I like to bet.
Especially if I have made a pair in the process. Early postion works pretty good for this IIRC.
I guess it is technically a semi-bluff as I dont care too much if I fold some people with my bet. I do run a chance of winning right there, but really I want people to pay me to make my straight or flush. It dosent always work, but every so often, I come out betting strong like I have a made hand or something. I have a hand history or two that I should post that illustrates what I am talking about. It tends to suprise people who think that you have been betting pairs or a set only to find out that it was a straight that got them.
