1- ...you three-bet a kill pot before the flop and the guy on your left cold-calls all three bets with a 92o only to catch a boat on the river.

2- ...the same guy from #1 gets mad at you when you call his pre-flop raise with KK and crack his AA when you catch a K on the flop.

3- ...there's a guy in seat 3 who raises every third hand and calls all of the others before the flop.

4- ...there's a guy in seat 8 who hasn't bet or raised even once, but has called-down every hand to the river.

5- ...the guy on your right points at the kill-button like it will bite him, and says (not for the first time tonight), "What's that for?"

6- ...there are many, many hands that are won with K-high.

7- ...you flop the nut-flush in EP, bet at it and get five callers; three of whom also call you down to the river.

8- ...the guy in the 5 seat keeps trying to push all-in for $100 or more, but it's a 3-6 limit game. He says "quack-quack" whenever he does it.

9- ...the guy in the 8 seat tries to make a wheel out of JQKA2 and doesn't understand why he lost to a pair of 6s.

10- ...you keep hearing the phrase, "Any two cards can win."

11- ...there's a regular, solid player at the game that you respect who keeps muttering, "I hate this f***ing game," under his breath.

12- ...you chip stack goes from $100 to $600 to nothing multiple times in a two-hours period.

Actually had a pretty good weekend, up about $250. But the fishy games mean big swings. I was up $700 at one point, then down to cloth... left Saturday night after coming back to $40 ahead, then went back this morning for the rest. :) It's just really funny to watch all of this stuff at the low limits.

Hey MOZ! Assuming its Casino Arizona, I gotta laugh, because when I was there, the guy to the left of me kept telling me I needed to stop folding so much. Why? Because "any two cards can win!"

The KA2 straight is the best though!!

Yeah, that's where I play.

The guy who tried to play the wrap-around wheel was pretty embarrassed... it was only his second time playing and he really thought the hand was good. :) He was very loose-aggressive, raising with any two suited cards, and any one picture card or ace. In the two hours or so that he played at my table, he bought four or five racks of chips before he finally gave up...

LOL! And i was going to make this my first trip to Casino Arizona too this weekend! I should've gone! Nice to see some locals on the boards. I was wondering if either of you had played in the tourneys at Fort McDowell? A friend of mine crecently discovered thier weekly tourneys, and I was wondering if you guys had played in them or not?

No, I haven't played The Fort yet, the games are always too lucrative at CAZ, and every time I think about going elsewhere, I get a feeling like I'm really gonna miss out! :)

I have played several tourneys at CAZ, tho, and I really like them there. The players are overwhelmingly weak. I'll have to check out the tourneys at The Fort and see what's available when.

I wasn't sure if Casino AZ had weekly tournaments or not, I may check that out after I get finished with class tomorrow. I would like to start playing at the Fort because the buy in is rather inexpensive, and hopefully the play is the same as you describe. Fort's tourneys are on mon tues and wed according to the directory in CardPlayer.

Yeah, CAZ is developing a pretty good range, too. They have $125 Limit HE every Tuesday night, $125 NLHE every Wednesday, and somthing different every Saturday. For example, this month they had a $550 NLHE on 11/1, a $40 Women's Limit HE on 11/8, a $1000 NLHE on 11/15 and a charity tourney on 11/22 (I don't know what the buy in is). Then, they'll have another $125 NLHE on 11/29, with $350 added per table. Sometimes they will spread stud and omaha tourneys too... but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in those. They used to run sattelites for the $1000 tourney, too, but have stopped them... logistically too difficult, I guess...

I work a regular 9 to 5 but had a Tuesday off a couple of weeks ago and played in one of the afternoon tourneys at the Fort. If you go and play in a ring game a few hours before the tourney you can earn an extra 1000 chips for the tourney and with the blinds moving up fast I would recommend it. It was a $20 buy in 8 dollar service fee and $10 rebuy. They also add $250 per table to the prize pool and there was one rebuy. A lot of dealers from both the Fort and CAZ where playing in it.

I would add that Saturday and Sunday during the Football Pool at CAZ it is extremly fishy at the $3-6 and $4-8 limits. People go to just play in the football pools and trying to win the jackpot. You see people playing anything suited with 3 gaps or less all the time.

You ain't kidding. It even gets really, really fishy in teh 6-12 during the football pools. Sometimes that's when you make the best money tho! :)
