| Havnt played any poker in the last 4 days as have been layn low by a nasty stomach virus. Anyways I was kicking back last night watching Match of the Day on ITV. To give this context this is a highlight programme of all the priemership football matches in the UK. As you can imagine it is a very popular programme with the mail demographic in the UK. At the end of the most important matches the have a slot were they show an interview with the manager of one of the teams taken in the tunnel that leads of from the pitch. The manager stands in front of a board which is covered in sponorship decals of different corporates. Having not seen the Party Poker logo for a few days I was very surprised to see several just of the left shoulder of Peter Reid manager of Leeds Unt. Party Poker had payed for a significant amount of advertising on this UK football show. its hard to put this into context but all the other advertisers were major corps as advertising on this show is not going to be cheap. I cant imagine other major poker sites doing this. It seems to me that party might go from being a company seeking to exploit quite a niche market to something more mainstream. Much as people may diss PP from time to time they are a majot force in blugeoning poker into the mainstream. Which can only be good. | ||

| It doesn't make a lot of sense for PP to spend a lot of money advertising to bring more customers to a site that is already clogged with more customers than PP can adequately serve now. They might do better spending those dollars on additional servers so they can get out 80/hr again. Or is the slow play just due to slow players? | ||

And I certainly can be one of those when I need to be, *or want to be*. I almost automatically go t half-speed anytime someone complains about slow play just to put em on tilt.

I tend to be a bit vocal if someone is taking an excess of time on every decision. It slows down the game for everyone, and reduces my earnings. If going slower on purpose will have any effect on me, it will make me notice your game more and play better against you. Lee

| You are right of course. There are certainly players who I know this won't affect. But there are a number of players at the lower limits where I am at that can be nudged towards bad decisions this way and I will take full advantage of them if I can. Also, I would hope like heck that I would not be at a table with players of your ability there. :-) | ||
