When I play with a new name person on the internet for several hours for the first time and they seem to be involved in a lot of large pots or for some other reason seem to peak my interest as being extremely solid I like to look at their hand histories through pokertracker to analyze their play to see where I might improve my own game. Last night I played with someone for several hours on 2 to 3 tables that peaked my interest. When I looked at my database this evening to see exactly what hands this player had been involved in I saw that they had lost 8 flopped sets (5 top sets), 0 for 3 with AA, lost one flopped nut flush and one flopped nut straight to runner runners and still showed a profit over the night. If nothing else this shows how continued solid play when taking a trouncing will pull you through. I can't remember losing that number of sets in a session but that is near wrist slitting time:) and this player seemed to weather the storm and pull through, please don't send anymore of these players to my table.
