| Anyone know of any tournaments in the New Orleans area? I'll be there the weekend on Dec 5 for the Bucs / Saints game and was hoping to find some tourney's to play in. | ||

| I'll be one of those on a 3 day binge with no sleep. And if the Bucs lose I'll probably be steaming the whole night. I'll probably play at Harrah's but I was hoping to get in a tournament or two to test my no limit skills. | ||

| On a side note: whats the legal age in New Orleans? Someone tried to convince me it was 18, but I was pretty sure it wasn't. | ||

| Mike: My wife went to Tulane and I believe the law is still the same as it was then - the drinking age is 21 but when she was in college there (early 90s) it was not illegal for a venue to allow 18 year olds to drink, it was illegal for the 18 year old who knowingly was drinking underage. So essentially, you can go to bars underage at your own risk with no penalty to the drinking establishment. You can understand how this was a very bar friendly rule - they didn't have to card anyone and were not responsible for anything that happened to underage drinkers. Occasionally, the cops would "raid" a place that didn't pay its graft I suppose. Happened once in a while. Thats how they keep people honest in the Big Easy. If you are under 21 I wouldn't worry about it. | ||
