| Hi. I understand they play a lot of PLO and PLH in Tunica. Is that just during tournaments (I KNOW they play a lot then) or is it all the time. If there are regular PLO or PLH games, what are the typical and minimum buy-ins please? Thanks. BarryT | ||

| Barry, I'm going there this weekend so I can give you some better information Monday. I know the Horseshoe has a fairly large PLO going on most nights (weekends anyway) most of the players have green chips in front of them. I've never seen PLHE being played except during the tourneys. The Grand said they have a PLHE game and I'll find out what the blinds are this weekend. Will | ||

| I would rate Tunica poker rooms as good but not great, with the exception of the Gold Strike. Hollywood, Sam's, Grand, IMHO, are not that great in terms of spread, service, or solid games. Horseshoe is good, but it's hard to get a seat there .. sometimes, you'll have to wait a couple of hours. But, there's a couple of really cute dealers. Gold Strike is a nice room, friendly staff and nice snacks, although players eating greasy popcorn can make the cards a little sticky. Also, Gold Strike is smoke-free. I've seen dealers from other casinos (including the cute ones at Horseshoe) playing their recreational games at the Gold Strike. As far as PLO or PLHE, I haven't seen a PLHE game in Tunica .. mostly limit, all the way from 1-2 to 20-40 .. haven't seen anything higher there. PLO games are at the Shoe and Gold Strike for sure .. probably at other places too. | ||

| Hi Barry - The Horseshoe Casino in Tunica has PLO. They spread a 5 & 10 blinds game, and a 10 & 25 blinds game, (5 & 10 played more frequently), with two games going on the weekend . The minimum buy in for the 5 & 10 is $500 (typical buy-in depends on who exactly is sitting in the game and if the "live" one has the chips. Some players will buy in for $500 up to $1,500 while someone else may sit down with their entire BR)! The minimum buy in for the 10 & 25 is $1000 (the typical buy -in depends on who's in the game). (My friend was there a few months back and said the PLO game was great when he was there with lots of cash on the table! This was NOT during tournament time. He said the majority of the players were "live straddeling" OTB for $25 in the 5 &10 blind game. The Mississippi Straddle! ). *They don't have a pot limit hold-em game at The Horseshoe during their regular scheduled games unless it's during a tournament.* good luck to you. 4P- | ||
