| I know this is a post that has come up several times but I can't seem to find one. Now that I am playing more regularly, I think it is a good time to start tracking my hands and BB/hour and hands played all all that good stuff. Can you please post a link to a program that will do this? A free one would be best as I dont want to spend any money on a fancy one. Thanks | ||

| Along these same lines....I downloaded the free trial of PokerTracker. From what I understand, to use it you have to have your Poker site email you hand histories and then Poker tracker sorts everything for you. Ok, so Pokerstars will only let you receive 100 hand histories at a time. Now do I have to count my next 100 hands and then download the info again? If I do it too soon, the hands will overlap and if I wait too long I'll miss hands. Is there anyway to have them send each 100 hand automatically? | ||

| Link should be www.pokertracker.com ... incredible program by the way. I've been doing the downloads from pokerstars with the "autorequest hand histories" under the utilities menu. Since I usually don't play multiple tables, if I set it for 100 hands/ hour, I'm totally safe. By the way, if you request too many hands, the program automatically recognizes that the hand is in the database. And with the autorequest feature, you don't have to keep examining your "stats" tab to see how many hands you've played. Even if you were playing like 4 tables at the same time, you can set the autorequest to 100 hands every 15 minutes. On tourneys, you just have to make sure that you haven't played more than 3 before you do a "request tournament history." Also, I think it's better to wait until the tournament is actually over to make the request. I did it once just right after I got knocked out and got some kind of error message. I don't think it screwed anything up, but I needed then to request a history again later on the same tourney anyway, so it just makes more sense to wait until it's over. There again, unless you're a complete fiend who plays like 3 tourneys simultaneously, it's not bad getting the downloads once you get used to it. | ||
