What site has the penny games?, FlopDaNutz, 30. Oct 2003 12:19

I have a friend learning the game, but is far from ready to play decent stakes. I remember reading or hearing that one or two online sites have .01/ .02 blinds with a 2 cent limit or something along those lines. This way, he can deposit $20 bucks or so and play for a few weeks to get a feel for the game. Hell at those stakes, he could lose every pot and play on $25 for a while. Thanks in advance.

ultimate bet has $0.01/$0.02 games and it is a highly recommended site. Some decent players are there too. It's a great way to learn

Thanks, I had a feeling UB did this. I play strictly Party Poker and some at Paradise. I have heard not so good things about UB from some real life friends so I stay away. But it sounds like it may be a good place for my friend to learn.

Not problems as in reliability or support or software. More like personal preference stuff. Some friends that play the same way I do say that it just isnt my type of game. The tables are limited, not near as many people as Party and I hate waiting for tables or tourneys to fill up. That kinda stuff. I have heard many good things about UB as well, but I don't think it is a site that fits my playing style well.

PokerStars has micro games limits(.01/.02, 05/.10) and some nl with micro blinds. He might consider joining pokerschoolonline if he wants to learn the game. Their touraments are better for learning than the micro low limit games. The micro low limit games are just a half step above the play money.

Planet Poker has a great selection of micro limit games for the newbie. And there chat feature with sound effects seems to lead to a lot more interaction than at other sites.

Interesting... My wife was playing in a $5 SnG the other night and played against Flop The Nuts. I asked if it was you , it wasn't.... there is more than one flop out there... ...hmm how profound.

Funny thing, I tried to get this name when I started my account at Party and it wouldnt fit. Many variations were already taken, so I use another name to play with.
