| Due to the fact that there are no casinos in Texas and the closest one to me is 3 hours away, I have only played live once. After reading the "help with bankroll" thread, I have been advised that low to medium limit live players are looser than online. What levels would you say are comparable? The lowest level at Hollywood casino in Shreveport is $4/$8. What level of online play would that compare to? By the way, the one time I played live I lost about $80 in 5 hours. I was very inexperienced and now know all the mistakes I made. There is no doubt in my mind that I can beat that game now. Unfortunately, all they have is $4/$8 and No Limit. The No Limit players may not be much better but they all had $1000's sitting in front of them so I would say its a bit out of my league. (not sure of the blind amounts). | ||

| I asked a similar question not too long ago. From what I can tell, The people who would be playing the lowest limits available online, say .50/1 and 1/2 are the sames ones you find in the lowest limits live, 2/4 or in your unlucky case 4/8. The answers I received seemed to feel the there is no corresponding relation between 5/10 online players being in the 10/20 and 15/30 games live, or the 10/20 live players being in 3/6 or 5/10 online. Simply put, players will play at the limit they want when it is available, whether online or live, and will otherwise play at the closest limit to that if not. | ||

| There isn't really a comparision that you can go by or a standard that equates. It really just depends on who you are playing with at that time whether it's online or live. The people at Bossier City are looser in real life. There are so many tourists and they play very POORLY. Where do you live in Texas? I'm in Austin and there are so many live games that I play about 4-5 nights a week. I've heard there are many games in Dallas as well. | ||
