| I was at PartyPoker at a $25 NL table with about 8 people seated. Im in the SB and have only been seated about 10 minutes. I had around a 35 stack in front of me which was average at the table. I get dealt 89s in the SB when 3 limp in and it comes to me. Some might disagree but Mid suited connectors are one of my favorites to play. If nothing else but to change gears a little since I had played very tight so far...I raised the blinds to $3. I figure if its a high flop, I at least have a chance of bluffing my way out if I am on a FL or STR draw with a preflop raise like that. Anyway...here comes the Monster flop, and I do mean MONSTER!. 5s 6s 7s !!! WOW..I finally live up to my name when I say FLOP DUH NUTZZ! I check hoping someone will buy into me and the Button goes all-in with about $45. Im loving it! I hesitate for a second, and go all-in as well with a grin on my face. MP folds and I put the friendly smiley face in the chat window :) The button says not so fast buddy and turns over his As2s and I throw the Straight Flush down for the Monster Pot. He goes nutz. To top it all off....the 10s fell on the river giving me an even higher SF. He whined for a few minutes and I left table with his money. Man that was fun! | ||

| Nice hand!!! Isnt a great feeling when you have the nuts and your trying to thing about all the ways of making the most amount of money you possibly can (ie, check/call, check raise,, bet a little and hope for a reraise, go allin, check till the river???) Then someone makes it easy for you and goes all in....Thats fun. | ||

| Thats awesome Flop. That actually happened to me in a NL tourney once. I was in the BB early in the tournament and a player made a small raise from early position (blinds 10-20, he made a 20 raise). Three other guys called so I called too with a 9Ts. I flopped 8JQs. I checked the flop and the first better made the same small raise. Everyone called. I called too. The next card was a K (not of the same suit). I took down 3 other players in one hand (one guy made top set, another flopped a lesser flush, another picked up the broadway straight. The guy who drew the flush commented that he thought he was the one slowplaying the hand). I quadrupled my stack and was able to just sit tight and wait for good cards the rest of the tourney (which I placed in 3rd). Lots of fun. | ||
