| Last night on I played in a $20 NLHE multiplayer tourney with about 180 players, top 20 payed out. Played solid poker most of the tourney. 30 players left and im in about 19th place about 5000 chips. Extremely tight, low stacks are trying to hold on for dear life. I get dealt As7s in late position. EP player (4700 chips) bets out 700. I raise and make it 1400 to go. He calls. FLop comes: Ks, 7c, 9s. He bets out 500?? Im smelling weakness. I doubt that bet was to entice a raise to set me up for a trap. I put him on Pckt pair lower than king or maybe AQ or AJs. I doubt AK, cause he would have bet more just in case I had a flush draw. Now I convice myself Hes weak. I go allin and have him covered. That put the pressure on him cause hed bust out just before the money. He can fold and most likely make it to the money..There are several short stacks left in the tourny. Anyway he folds and shows me QQ. I showed him my A9 and he flipped out!!! I recently stopped showing my cards, but couldnt resist there. Two hands later I get dealt 10,10 and the same player is the BB. I call everyone folds and he checks the BB Flop comes A, Q, 7 rainbow, He checks, and so do I, Next card is a 4, He checks and so do I, River is the beautiful 10.!!! He bets 500 (leaving him with 1800). I pause for a bit....I then go allin he calls immediately and shows AQ. he finished in 22nd place. LOL..... The table started writing what a bad play he made slowplaying his AQ...anyway...i ended up in 15th place....bust out with my All in bet preflop with KK, to the chip leader who called with A10...and caugght an Ace.. | ||
