| Also, when I discuss pot-limit poker, it's mostly Omaha high. I usually discuss either pot-limit Omaha or limit hold'em - only on rare occasions do I talk about pot-limit hold'em. There are some good books on pot-limit (hold'em) poker out there, though. I would especially recommend Ciaffone & Reuben's "Pot-limit and no-limit poker", and to a lesser degree also the Cloutier / McEvoy book "Championship no-limit and pot-limit hold'em". | Thanks, Modestmice. But for now I will just try to keep writing good articles all the time... which is tough enough as it is. Also, it is far from certain that the current growth of PLO will continue in the future, and if I come up with a book about a game that no one plays, then I'm sure my publisher will not be very pleased. All in all, I do hope to be able to write a good book someday (and indeed this might be a PLO book, because it is true that at this moment there is not that much good PLO material available in print), but I suspect this will be at least two or three years from now. | Rolf- Why "to a lesser degree" on TJ and Tom's book? I haven't read Ciaffone's book, but I was curious as to your thoughts on why you think it is better. I found the Clutier/McEvoy book to be quite helpful. Thanks, Steve | ||
