| If you are going to play at those limits after 4 months then I can't see how a couple of $ for the magazine could be anything but a good thing. | ||

| So many of the articles are available online on their website or other places that the value of purchasing it seems doubtful to me. | ||

| Not sure. If the information online is exactly the same, then I guess that would suffice. However, I can't take my computer monitor with me to bed or on the train to work, so that doesn't work for me. I prefer having the magazine. The point was that the articles and information are too good to not utilize for the serious playter, no matter the medium that you choose. | ||

| And the online doesn't have the photo of the very fetching Mrs. Cooke in every issue :) Eli on 28. Oct 2003 09:37 shorn wrote: > Not sure. | Absolutely, Steve. I find the magazine to be very helpful and informative. It's nice to be able to read one player's opinion/advice about a particular hand, or on a particular game, and stuff like that. In my opinion, reading individual articles that aren't dragged out on end also makes for a "good reminder"; and any valuable information that we can absorb about poker is worth the read. Of course I do have my favorite writer's that I look for... it's also pretty cool that some new writer's have joined the team as well. Dave | ||

| These are some of mine- Mike Caro: From way back when! - very "interesting" individual, and I liked his psychology/ "madness" towards the game. I'm glad his previous articles are back in print. Grant Strauss: His column is strictly dedicated to 7 card stud and I find him to have a good concept of the game. Roy West: His material is always worth the read even if it seems to be basic stuff because in my opinion, you can't make that homerun without stepping on first base! He's also big on advocating discipline, which I admire... and agree with. Roy Cooke: Great articles all the time - I feel like I'm right at the table when I read his stuff! He's also one of the writer's that is consistently "putting out the good reminders", that are crucial to one's game. Daniel Negreanu: He writes from his heart and he isn't afraid of sharing his poker life, even the "not so good" choices that he has made. His topics are very personal at times, but they are still topics that people can learn from (IMO), and he's always interesting from beginning to end. Mike Sexton: In my opinion, he's one of the best things that has happened to the poker world. His column has a bit of everything - and it's all good. *** I know I'm leaving out a few more here, but these are just some of my personal favorites. I'm also looking foward to reading more of Barry T's work. So far, so good Barry! Mark G will also be someone who I will look for and hopefully he'll chose to pick Omaha 8 as a recurring topic that he'll discuss. Good luck to the new guys on the block!! 4P- | ||

| A lot of B&M casinos will have it there for free. It makes most of it's money on advertising from cardrooms, so they want to get it into your hands. Check all the B&Ms in your area and find out if any of them give it away. Where i play they go pretty fast, so it's good to know when they come out. | ||
