| I was playing a multitable online tournament on PartyPoker, and it just happened to be the night that daylights savings set our clocks back an hour. At exactly 2 AM Eastern, the time when the clocks are officially set back, the tournament paused. It resumed after about 5 minutes. When it did, some software glitch treated everybody like they were away. We would just post our blinds and fold. I tried to contact a floorperson, as did a few other people at my table. It wasn't a dire circumstance because we weren't really losing any money, just shifting it. Then all of a sudden, our money started disappearing. The big blind no longer got back his money. It didn't show the chips sliding over to anyone or anything. The blinds would just go to the center of the table and then disappear. We all still kept trying to contact a floorperson. I had been waiting about 10 to 15 minutes at this point. Several people called the partypoker telephone number, and there was no answer. Someone noticed that all of our money was going to a particular player, who now had over three times the chip stack of anyone at our table. Somehow, someone figured out that if you closed the window and reopened that you could start to play regularly again. I did this, and everything worked properly. The only thing is that I had gone from around 3200 in chips (above the average) to around 1800. Not only that, but the chip average had gone up to about 4500. So I went from above average to less than half of the average. People had been blinded off during the technical difficulties and our table was eventually filled with above average chipstacks. By the time we figured everything out (prolly after at least half an hour), the blinds were up to about 400. I know I wasn't as short stacked as I could have been, and granted I could have come back, played a killer game, gotten a little lucky, and still been fine. But I didn't. And considering that it was not my play or luck of the draw that shortened my stack, I feel a little cheated. The worst part of it is I NEVER got in touch with a floor person. Not after 45 minutes to an hour of waiting online. Not after calling several times. I Emailed Party Poker, and they said they would refund any funds lost during that time. But I don't think they're counting a tournament buy-in as losing funds. I hope they do. It was only 10 bucks, and I've lost 15 times that in one night, but it's just the principle. I told them if they don't refund my tournament fee, I'm going to cash out and go to UltimateBet.com So a warning: be wary of Party Poker and their "24 hour live assistance". | ||

| No one can deny that Party has had problems, but the time it affected me they refunded my tourney fee in about 24 hrs. They have even notified me of a problem that I wasn't aware of at the time and refunded my pending bets. | ||

| Party is really good with refunding fees in these situations. In the SnG's Say a 30 dollar sit n go, 10 people, $300 prize pool, they'll not only refund your buy in, but split the prize pool up amongst the remaning players, so you'll get 63 back. | ||

| Had the same problem in a Multi tournament that night and was in the 80 with only 10 players left before $$$$.. Party Poker gave me a refund and gave me $200.00 bucks because I was in 3rd place at the time of the crash. I could not play after the crash due to problem with the call buttons or something. But Party Poker made it right me and have talk to other that played in same tournament that they did the same for the.. | ||
