Stupid online 7-Stud question?, jackeboy, 24. Oct 2003 07:00

| I have been wondering something for a while now. Note: I will humbly accept any abusive or mocking comments if I have missed something obvious : ). The site I play on hosts 7-stud rooms with eight seats. If ( and I know it doesn't happen very often) nobody folds until the showdown there will be 56 cards dealt. Where do the extra four cards come from? Doesn't this open up the possibility of some five of a kind wild-card type hands or at least two players using the same card in their hands? | ||

I played in a $3/$6 stud hilo game in Indio Ca on the reservation back about the time holdem was introduced to California. That game always dealt the last card out to the board too but it was just called no foldem stud....at least it should have been. ;)

| No, if they run out of cards, the last card is dealt as a "community card" which all players can use to work with their respective hands. Incidentally, this occasionally happens in a regular casino in relatively loose, usually low-limit games. Kennycatkiller | ||
