i have an extensive poker library *although havent bought much in last couple years* in excess of $1000 spent *just to give idea that i have been willing to spend $ to learn not to brag*
one general warning i want to pass along, just because you read a book, just because you reread those books many times does not in and of itself make you a profitable player, you have to be willing to think about the game *like this forum* and you have to be willing to put what you learn into practice *looseness being my biggest weakness*
get the books read and reread the books but know that playing and thinking and learning from actual situations should be much more valuable *every winning player has a style no two are alike almost any can work depending on the situation*

Quit bragging!....j/k bro.

This is excellent advice for everyone to keep in mind. Many times I come accross people who have read all the books but don't know how to apply the information to their game. I feel that the best thing to do is to study the books as often as possible, but not just the examples in the book. You must take hands that you have played and compare them to what the authors recomend to do in that situation. Then determine if you played the hand correctly or not.

Also you have to know when to deviate from the book learning. It is great in the beginning to play by the book but after you have some experience you must develop your own style.
