| So I am in a $50 NLHE 6 seater SnG last night and it's down to the final 2. I am in the BB and my opponent goes all in (at this time I had a very slight chip edge). I am staring at AA so I call. He turns over a 3c2h and I begin counting my winnings. Flop comes A45 and the bugger turns a str8. He throws the obligatory 'lol' into the chat window just as the 9c comes up on 4th street. I reach for a sip of my beer to calm the frustration I was experiencing when another 4 comes flying down the river. I pull the boat and the $210 that comes with the rise and fall of poker empires. For every disheartening, gutwrenching loss comes the euphoric feeling of victory. I love this game. My wife can't seem to understand how I can get so riled up over 'a stupid internet game'.......i don't even bother explaining because i have my brotheren at UPF. | ||

| get wife involved in poker teach her the basics have her play for nickles and dimes after she has put in some hours learning take her to a B & M have her sit down at the lowest limit and give her a large bankroll *like 50 BB* and tell her to have fun, sit behind her and watch *but tell her beforehand if you make her nervous to tell you so you can leave* there are very few emotions in this world more powerful/exciting than winning that first decent size pot/gamble once she gets a taste let her choose whether its something she wants to pursue, but i seriuosly doubt if she will ever question you again :-) | ||
