| Large Freeroll tournament (~1000 entries, top 160 pays but only top 10 gets any real money). Middle of the tournament, blinds are 150/300 and I'm in EP with about 1400. The 3 large stacks at the table are about 3500. I haven't gotten anything playable for a long time (maybe that's a problem) and my stack has slowly getting eaten by the blinds. I get pocket TT (finally something playable) and enter with 600 leaving me with 800 that I can keep if a ugly flop comes. 2 MP (large stacks) call me, which I don't like, one would be fine, but two.... Flop comes 952 rainbow, very nice flop for me, no real strait (I don't think anybody called with 43!) or flush draw and I have overpair. Any high pair still beats me, but I think the callers would have reraised me with a high pair (except maybe slowplaying AA) so I'm placing them on overcards and push all-in, hoping to get rid of at least one of them. I should be the favorite against any single player with overcards and maybe even against two (anybody knows the odds on that?) specially if they hold the same card in the pocket (I would think they both had A to call my initial bet). They both called my all-in (bummer.... That cuts down my chances...) Turn is a K, both checks (maybe I'm still ahead) River a Q, first caller checks, second bets 200 (ohh, I'm done....) and first caller calls. They turn over AJ and AK, kicking me out of the tournament.... I don't feel like this was a bad play (besides maybe going all-in pre-flop instead) and I think they didn't quite have the pot odds to call me with the overcards. Comments? -Magnus | ||
