| There's some players who always like to sit at a 5/10 table w/ the smallest stack possible, they'll keep rebuying for 50 chips everytime they bust out. Eventually they take down a decent pot and will keep playing w/ it. I see some of these players putting in 6+ hours a day everyday, so I have to assume they are making money(or they really have a gambling problem). Does anyone here play that way? is it a psychological thing so they feel like its all winnings when they have a big stack? Do they enjoy having the all in protection when they can? I personally can't stand this strategy, I want to be able to maximize my power hands when I get them. | ||

| I've always thought this is a losers strategy, it's for those who sit down expecting to lose. First of all, you can't play the game correctly if you're constantly all in. Also, it just seems that those I see doing this have the mindset that they will "only" lose a certain amount, which is the opposite of good thinking at a poker table. Eli on 20. | ReMMy, I don't play online but in my local B&M the minimum buy in is $30 initially. I see a few players always buy in for the minumum and then when they become short stacked they either go all in or re-buy for the minumum of $20 (when you still have chips left.) I don't really understand this practice either buy my theroy is that these players are either playing with money they are aftraid to lose or they play inferior hands and do not want to get stuck putting in more money with trash hands when they can simply go all in early in the hand with out much of a loss...either way this is a losing proposition. These are typically the same players who show losing hands b/c they were all in and couldn't do anything about it. They tend to blame the dealers for their bad cards. They bitch to the moon whenever they get a big hand and don't have any money...you've probably heard from one of these players "I had trip A's and only won 5BBs b/c I was all in. | ||
