are you feeling tired or frustrated? do you start to think I have to catch up? Get over confident and play looser than what you built that lead playing? If I sit down at 1/2 and eek out $25 in a hour or less, i play until the cards go cold or people stop giving me action, well I try to steal a few if they stop giving me action and then move. If the lesser player that the table is taking turns sacking leaves, no reason to really stay. Heck sometimes I still find myself the lesser player, and that means it is time to go. When I find myself in your spot, I start trying to figure out the leak, write it in my journal and take serious note of the leak so that it is plugged.

Hi,

There's nothing wrong with wanting to play, but there will be, if you just want to play alot of hands. I would ask myself some questions here.
Was the money that you earned in that particular session made from playing solid poker? How many times did you make a bad call (or an incorrect call/s, but still wound up taking down a pot? I'm asking you this because I feel that it's important for you to 'step outside' from your initial "+$1500-2000" for a minute, and really think if you are making only good and clear-headed decisions. (I'm probably wrong here, but that's okay).....I think you really need to think about it. (because) maybe you aren't playing too many hands, and perhaps your early on wins were due to playing really well; but, there could be that slim chance that 'after' you took all those beats with flopping sets after sets, etc., that (maybe) you started to play a little too loose without even realizing that you were doing so.

Giving back a solid win and then dipping into your own money can be very devasting and it "can" change the way a person plays, dramatically. It shouldn't however, come to that point. Even when we're losing.....if you can still play a solid game of poker.....and you are (still) more skilled than those in your game.....(and your bankroll can withstand all of these swings without putting even 'more' pressures on yourself)....and you can honestly say to yourself that you're still in the right frame of mind to only make the best decisions.... then by all means, keep playing. But as soon as you lose one of those things, is when I would chose to call it quits. The quickest way to know if you're still on your "A" game, is to constantly talk to yourself during the game, and be honest. And not about the bad beats that you may have taken, but about your own game at that very moment. (IMHO), the person who has the *power* (not the ability), to beat you the most, is yourself. Take the emotional side out of your game and I know you'll be able to see things more clearly.
