Ok, now I know theres a ton of pet names out there but I was just thinking about the hand named after a pet, mans best friend in fact! Do people actually call K-9 (canine) a dog of a hand or some such reference like I got rover, Fido or anything like that?
Got my Canine! (<-- throaty and hillbilly'ish) : )

Anyway, seriously I have never heard this reference and I have played many years around these "felt flatboards!" (<-- thats another good one, maybe I should be a writer, Roy? lol ) so has anyone heard it b4 or what? Anyone have a favorite that maybe we havent heard yet or an original name for a hand?? (Here we go boy, watch these doosey's! lol )

Love,
Me

A woman at my table a few months ago said she always plays 'big lick'.

It's the 6 and 9 of hearts.....

Being a theatre type gal, my 'group' usually refers to QQ as a pair of costume designers....could also be a pair of interior designers.. or just 'designers' for short.....

I've always heard QQ as Siegfried and Roy. One of them might have to be a bit mangled now, though.

QQ is only Siegfried and Roy when they are of Diamonds, Clubs or Spades, from what i understand he doesnt have a heart anymore after that tiger finished with him.

With the popularity of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, I think 5Q could be called the fab five. (in case you have never seen the show, 5 gays guys make over a straight guy. The call themselves the Fab Five. So, 5 Q or 5 Queens or Fab Five)

Just made that up.

While it may be a regionalism, I also like to think of AQ as a "chicken" hand... less regional QT as a hot hand....

I always thought that 8,J being referred to as the jeffrey dahmer hand to be incredibly funny. As he is/was a cannibal. I guess you could also call it the Hannibal lecter hand, or whoever else is your favorite cannibal.

Gotta love the good ole "Ate Jack"
