UPF headed to 2004 WSOP, Risky Business, 16. Oct 2003 14:51

Since we seem to have added a lot of new faces over the past few months, let me re-post that "we" are attempting to have a grand meeting of those that post on UPF at next years WSOP.

If anyone is lucky enough to play in it, great, but that's not the purpose. We just want to get together, and that seems like a time that we could all plan ahead for.

I have taken on the task of organizing that which can be organized for such an event. I have sent out details for the WSOP to approximately 25 posters already, but am now offering it to those that may not have been around a few months ago.

Email me at UPF2004WSOP@ev1.net if you are interested in getting on the mailing list (which has been non-existent lately, but shall pick up as I begin to hit up Binion's for updates)

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS DIES WITH ME, NO WORRIES. You may ask the others if you have doubts.
Please include a first and/or last name, and your UPF handle as well.

Thanks,
RB

I would love to go there this year, and I was planning on it, but they upped the ante to $25,000. I don't think that I will be able to swing that unless I get in the money at the Jack Binions Open this January.

I don't believe that is correct ($25,000 buy-in). I will call Matt Savage or Jim Miller tonight and check on it.

I heard that they were changing it to 25,000 in 2004 because the WSOP is supposed to be the biggest tourney of the year, and most of the WPT tourneys are 10,000. I might be wrong, but that is what I was told. I don't remember where I heard it from though. I started second guessing myself though when I saw everybody else talking about it still being 10,000. So I am probably wrong.

Well one thing they are changing this year (2004) is that the round one blind structures are going to be gone - they are starting at $50/$100 instead of $25/$50.
