I won't be easy to knock out, Mike Caro, 14. Oct 2003 17:41

For those of you who are looking at the Planet Poker advertisements on this page and think I'm going to be easy to knock out of these tournaments -- perhaps because the buy-in is much smaller than I'm used to -- just watch!

I'm going to play my best game. So, if you knock me out, you earned it.

I'm telling you in advance, in the spirit of poker sportsmanship. You'll see what sophisticated strategy can do in a small-limit online tournament.

If I don't make the first quarter of the field, I'll cry real tears and be embarrassed. And I don't want to do that.

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

Well, I played so brilliantly (stud, high-low split) that it's hard to bring on tears, but I promise to try chopping onions. :-)

I AM embarrassed, though, but mostly because I made the post and now have to explain how I finished 51st out of 100. Had I not made the post, this would have passed unnoticed.

It was fun. The chat during the game was first class and happy. I think poker is maturing and becoming a more civil and important game with each passing day. Online and offline, these are the greatest days poker on earth has ever known.

Straight Flushes,
Mike Caro

No offense Mike, but you hadn't been finishing too well in the Limit Hold 'Em bounty tournaments over the last few months. What gives? Roy's in the rankings... why not you?

PS I'm just busting your chops. I'll avoid your table if at all possible.
