Break, it does a body good, WilliamS, 13. Oct 2003 20:24

Well, I cut my 1 week hiatus a couple days short and decided to play a short (30min) session today at a 1-2 6 max table on UB.

I was playing extremely tight, even though it was a short table I was only playing premium hands unless I was on the button or got the free look on the BB.

Well, I got Ac10c on the button folded to me; I raise to take the blinds which doesn't work as SB calls and BB goes all-in for 2.50.
The flop comes 3c Jc 7h. It is checked to me (1 player is all-in) and I take the free card which is the Qc. SB bets into me, I raise, he calls.
River is the Kc giving me the elusive royal flush. With one player all-in I decide to bet and the SB calls.

The reason that is important is I looked down to see the jackpot hand hadn't been maxed out yet which means my little 1-2 Royal Flush was worth 289 bucks + 20 dollar pot.

I know this is all luck, but it is nice to see some things go the right direction after taking a couple days off.

Will
