If the money you are playing with is too meaningful to you, you tend to play in a manner not to lose rather than in a playing style of trying to win. If you find yourself in this negative mindset, cashout and go to a smaller game until you can build the confidence necessary to play effectively at the higher limit.

I like these little nuggets of wisdom from Roy. Regarding this one in particular, I think it's been said before (by you, Roy?) that a good poker player has to have a healthy disrespect for money, which is impossible to have if you're sweating over every chip.

go to the play money tables for a while... unless you're making big bucks there, you shouldn't be playing for real money in any quantities higher than what you're prepare to write-off to "experience." (my opinion)
