| Roy, I just got to say that I have been reading your articles for quite some time and your insight into the game has probably helped me more than any other writer. Plus, last week, I did exactly what you just advised against. I was playing a NL holdem tourney with a $200 buy in and 99 players. Got down to the final 12. I have about 8000 and the seat to my right has about 9000. Blinds are 400-800. I'm in the big blind, with K9o. Everyone folds and the small blind calls. I check. Flop comes K72. Small checks, I bet 800 he raises to 1600 and I reraise to 2400. He then goes all in, and I think for about 2 seconds and call. He has K2 and the turn and river are KJ. I completely fault myself for this play, especially since #10 was in the money. Plus I could only really beat a complete bluff or failed underpair. It was a foolish play, but I got caught up in the action and got bounced out. It taught me a valuable lesson that I won't forget for quite some time.
