| This post is inspired by a hand I posted earlier, in which UPFers concluded correctly that I should have mucked Jacks full of Aces (I called to the river and got beaten by Aces full). I'm curious, what's the best hand you've ever mucked, and why? | ||

| I've had Aces full that I wished I'd mucked - or at least slowed down on. With 2 Aces on board I was full of a weak paired kicker. When the hand was over my opponent was full of my chips and I was full of - well this is a family forum isn't it. | ||

| Oh boy - can I relate to that one. Sometimes my only consolation is knowing that considering my position and particular openers, etc., my fold was proper. The one that hurts, though, is to know that my strong draw is beat at the turn, have lousy odds to continue, fold and then see my winner hit the river. I HATE when that happens. | ||

| A strait flush I was playing in a 5/10 No-limit game and I held Jd 9h. Flop comes 10h Qh Kh there was a big round of betting. In the position I was in I had flopped the strait so I almost had to call. The turn comes Jh...First guy to act in seat three goes all in for $2500. Seat 6 Calls and re-rasies another $1500. I had about 4k siting in front of me and I no other choice but to put one of the other guys on the Ah. It was a good thing to. The guy sitting in seat three had the ace. I ask the dealer to turn over my cards after the hand was over to show eveyone what I lied down. | ||

| Hi mkpoker, I think the best (made) hand that I ever laid down was Kings full in a seven card stud 8 or better game. I was rolled up Kings, and my opponent had open Aces on fourth street. The way the betting went down on each streeet, (and I also knew how this particular player played his cards), and what cards were laid out.... I was (just about positive) that he could not have anything less than Aces full. I was full in five and I laid it down on sixth street when the aggression started to take place with a made low by another player that looked like a straight six. (He saw his strong low board and he did not back off from check raising). I saved alot of bets by throwing it away, because had I called his check-raise on sixth after we both checked it to the only possible made low hand....the pot would have been alot bigger with MORE of my money being chopped up!! 4P- | ||

| Pocket Ks. The flop came K,8,10 rainbow. Turn came 6 was raised and reraised. River came 6. The dude said,'holy cow!!' and reached into his pocket cuz he was all in. It wasn't his raise or the way he reached into his pocket, but in his voice when he said Holy cow! that made me a believer. | ||

| KK I was on the button. The guy in seat 3 raised to 3 dollars. He was raised by the guy in seat 7 up to 8 dollars. The guy in seat 7 was a tight player. I put him on AA. I clicked the fold button. Turned out I was right. Seat 7 had AA and won. Dbldaggers | ||

| I mucked A5 when the flop came A35, knowing that Teddy KGB had the 24, because he listened for the Oreo to break. Oh wait, that wasn't me... I've got Rounders on the brain since I watched it last night. | ||

| pocket 3s, when the board showed AKQJ9 and it was three bets to me. And let me tell you it was a tough laydown. But as it turns out I was beat by about 5 other players. Great laydowns like that are what makes me such a big winner. | ||
