I am playing in a low limit very loose game. Half of the people will enter the pot with any two suited or any two connected, and a couple enter the pot no matter what they have, whether raised or not. I'm third to act and have Ad Ks. One from BB limps next folds, I raise.
I get 3 callers plus the BB and limper for a total of 6 with me. All of the callers are loose callers, including one very passive player who will never even bet with pocket AA-and this is no exaggeration.

Flop comes Kd 6d 2h. I bet and all but one late person called. The turn comes 2d putting a pair on the board and 3 diamonds. Most of the time I wouldn't worry about 2's pairing the board but with this game anyone could be holding a 2. Original limper bets and I call and only the loose passive caller calls. River comes 8d, checked to me I bet and original limper and better on turn calls. He had KTo. Can't remember if T was diamond or not.

Should I have been more aggressive on the turn and raised him with 2 people to act behind me. Or was call the best action.

Hey Blade,

Can I ask you why you would raise him there. (I'm just interested in your reasoning for doing so).

(thanks)

Hey Big (don't want to call you Loser),

Wow! You read my mind. I have been playing these LL crazy-loose aggressive games lately and it is soo difficult to get a correct read on many of them because they will play anything at any time. It's very difficult to manipulate them with your betting, as you will at the higher limits... so my adcive for you... hell who knows. I would love to be able to say what all the pros would say, but frankly, it doesn't always work at those LL games, cause they don't "get" the moves you're trying to put on them... and will call or raise most anything.

Many times I've held set of A's (or another monster) with straight possible if the river hits. I play aggresively as I would at any limit, but HERE I get called all the way... which tells me he's chasing his striaght... river hits, so if he's holding his 9,6o (which can happen every hand), I'm beat. Now, like your example, what do you do? At a higher level, you can probably KNOW he's not playing his 9,6 with A showing.... But, ohhh noooo, not at our games.... Can't lay down AAA, even though I KNOW I'm beat. Gotta check/call or bet/call and just know you played it right!! When he does turn over his 9,6o and takes the pot, tell him, "Great play, way to hang on to the river." Make him think he did the right thing and encourage him to continue making those plays. I have even tried to become friends with those guys so that they will move up limits with me and I can get my $$$ back x10.

In the long run, we need them at our table. Stay discipline, never "yell" at them. We love them!

Could I post a LONGER message?! Sorry bout that. I just feel your pain.

Get rid of that name you are using!!!!! I think a raise here is overall poor play. You can be losing and in bad shape to the bettor. If that is the case you certainly would like to lose as little in the hand as possible and at the same time "pad" the situation by letting a weak player call in behind you where he is drawing thin or dead!!!! You have the ace of diamonds as "insurance" here so there is no fear of allowing a smaller flush draw in cheaply.......let them in!!!! The number of bets you gain by calling over raising in this situation is very favorable for you. If I didn't hold the ace of suit I would be more inclined to raise and take my chances against the bettor. Just a thought. GRANT PITTMAN

This is what I was thinking durring my play. I thought if I was beat no need to raise it. And if I wasn't chances were the river wouldn't hurt me and could give someone the second nut flush. Thanks for the help.
