| I'm playing in a $15 buy in tourney on Bugsys. I'm the chip leader at the table with T40000 in late position with AA (two away from the button) Short stack calls all-in with T1500...another short stack calls all-in with T2500...Here is were it all breaks down...I call...figuring no one else will call and it will be a showdown and I'm not too disappointed if my AAs get cracked by the all-ins. Guy with T35000 calls. Flop comes 378 rainbow....I go all-in wanting to get the T35000 guy out of the hand....he calls...Okay I say to myself "This is trouble" he flips over 36s. The flop did not touch the all-ins...The turn no help...and now the river "6"...Using all the restraint in the world to not rip into this guy . I just say "nice all-in call"...He says "Its not my fault...I'm on super TILT"...so two all-ins are out of the tourney and I'm left with T5000... I suppose I should have gone all-in pre-flop but I'm not so sure he wouldn't have called. | ||

| How could he be on "Super Tilt" with T35000? He was probably in the top 3 chip leaders. Super Drunk maybe. Thats just assenine. I would think an allin bet preflop would have frozen him out though. The bets you called were relatively small compared to your (and his) chip size. So its not inconceivable that someone could just gamble and try to hit a flop only calling for a fraction of their chips. But his call on the flop just defies any logical explanation. | ||

| I'm not sure I understand your logic. You called the bet because you didn't think anyone else would call, it sounds to me like you didn't "want" anyone else to call. When you went all you said you wanted the other guy out of the pot, if this was your intent why not go all in preflop and pretty much insure it... | ||

| I think you need to make a big pre-flop raise here in order to make sure that it is just you and the two all-in's. Assuming you are anywhere near the bubble or in the money, most players won't come along because they can sit down and watch two others get eliminated without risking chips. That's a good scenario. And if someone does come in with KK or QQ, you are way ahead. This was a really tough beat, but next time I am confident you will eliminate its possibility by making that raise. The 36 guy probably thought you were trying to freeze him out with overcards and he may even have thought that his hand was good relative to yours at that point. Not trying to say it makes the call correct mind you, but... | ||

| Yes...after I calmed down, I realized a sizable pre-flop raise would have been the best play....I guess a positive was that I learned something to improve my game. | ||

| The only way you play 3-6 off with that scenario...the game is rigged and you are connected to the "House" which in my opinion happens all the time. Are Internet poker games rigged? More and more people are beggining to think so. Why would any site risk millions by doing that? The answer is that they think they can just like the Doctor who is selling pills from the back door and thinks he won't get caught. Just like the cop on the take...who won't get caught. Just like Lawyers and Judges who do it...cause they won't get caught. Just like Politicians who think they won't get caught. The bottom line here is...internet poker games are controlled by the house so that they can keep all their customers happy and playing. | ||

| Hi, Question: Would you call a big bet by another player who had overcalled you preflop, after the flop comes out? (if the answer is yes, then you should make an all-in raise yourself.... but make it preflop, and make anyone who wants to be a part of a 3-way pot, pay to see the flop). If they call you, they call you. But if they don't.....then you pick up the money that's in the pot (if your AA holds up), and you knock two players out of the tournament. The two players who went all-in can't hurt you anymore once the flop comes up........but any of the remaining players (who may be willing to call a smaller bet)........'can' hurt you. And when you're holding AA, and some straggler comes along for the ride.....you can really lose alot of your chips with this hand (and perhaps all of them) because you may have a hard time laying it down. I would make them *make* the decision on whether or not they want to committ their chips preflop, and whatever happens...happens; but you are much the favorite in that situation. 4P- | ||

| he's not a complete idiot. he knows you are just calling the short stacks and may or may not have a big hand, so figures for a lucky flop to be heads up with you. you are correct that he may call a re raise by you, but you should not play by assuming things like that, you should play as correctly as the situation dictates. when im in you situation, i re raise (not allin) to try and weed any other crazy thinking of callin. i want them to know i have a very strong hand and im not just trying to bust out the shortstacks. if they actually call with trash and win doesnt matter. gl next time.. 10.
