LL HE, I have pocket cowboys, in the BB, raise, get 4 callers, flop is a 7c9sJs...
I bet, EP1 raises, EP2 re-raises, button cold calls, I ponder a minute and fold.
Good call? Too tight?
as it turned out, the river is a Kd, rivers a 7s
EP2 has two 9's in the hole, didn't know about the other two. (But I can be sure someone made his flush)

good fold, tough to call with a scare flop like that, str, and 4 flush, etc. might have stayed if u felt lucky, but with all that betting seems like 2 pair, trips etc,,,,lucky river with king

While you didn't tell us anything about your opponents (which would have been helpful in determining what their possible holdings were and hence what the correct action would have been to take) I very probably make the lay down as well. That a dream turn and river came is independant of what you should have done - to think "Oh darn look what came - I should have called!" is being results-oriented and a sure way to go broke. I don't like to get too involved in a pot in which I may be drawing close to dead - and the betting on the flop should have got you thinking that perhaps this was the case (and it sounds like it did).

Good post Angel.

With that flop, even if you have the best hand right now, there's probably half the deck that can come off to completely kill your hand. spade, 8, 10, and jack are bad news. Even a king might fill an open end draw. Good fold Bungus. It takes a lot of discipline to lay down an overpair in that situation. Just don't tell anyone you did it ;)

Thanks. I guess I really shouldn't need any reassuance that that was the right move, but I with that third King (and another seven, for a boat) coming up, and me being on a losing streak and all, it kinda peeved me.
