| This is a Colorado $2 to $5 spread limit game....just as typical of this game there is not much respect given to pre-flop raises with an average of 5 to 6 players seeing the flop for as much as 2 raises pre-flop. The blind has just gone through 3 consecutive losing hands on this table (Pocket K's, A's, and J's) he is now steaming and I'm pretty sure he will cap with 72o right about now if given the chance. I'll explain the rest of the players as necessary. I pick up A4s (spades) in the CO. The blind posts a $5 blind and I make the 7th person in the pot. The blind raises $5 more and all call. Flop comes Ah 3s 10c. Blind leads out and 3 callers to me and I raise. Blind re-raises and one person calls. Turn is the Qs. Blind checks, MP bets, I call, Blind c/r's and MP 3-bets. I called and the blind called. River is the 7s. Blind bets, MP raises, I 3 bet, both call. My nut flush won over MP's turned gutshot broadway and the blind never showed but tried to imply he flopped a set but I doubt it. I would like to get some feedback as to my play...what do you think? Any and all advice and criticism is appreciated. | ||

| I would have been much more likely to fold on the flop instead of raising. Your ace is very unlikely to be good, really all you have is a runner runner flush draw. Once you turn a spade, with 20 big bets in the pot, I think that you were right to call the check raise - re raise and hope for a flush on the river. Snorbolus on 9. | I, too, would have folded the flop. With 7 callers, it's almost a sure thing someone has a better ace. I think playing Axs is the right play, but I'd follow this simple rule (with many callers): No flush draw + No str8 draw + no trips or 2pair = GET OUT. Once the 2nd spade hit on the turn, you were obviously right to stay to the river. But you got real lucky to hit that backdoor draw... | ||

| How would you have felt of the river was a 2c? Honestly answer that and you will have the answer to the most important question, which is how do you feel about you play? Also you read on the BB with the 3 beats in a row depends on what type of player he is. I tend to tighten up after some bad hands in order to slam players who will make the exact read that you did? | ||
