I am a fairly new player playing in the .50-$1.00 limits. I have done well
after reading Lee Jone's book and playing a tight-aggressive style. My problem
is with table selection. Am I better off playing where the pots are large, but
almost everyone sees the flop, or is it better to play where the pot is smaller,
but fewer players see the flop. Any help would be appreciated!

If you are talking online tables, I find the pot and flop % figures to be only somewhat helpful. Players move in and out so frequently, that the table can change it's nature before it shows up in the stats.

That said, higher pot avg w/ high flop% likely means a lot of players staying to the show (good payoff when you make a hand). Aggressive tables usually have high pots w/ smaller flop%, and low pot avg indicates weak or tight players. In general, you want high flop% to get loose players. Best though to observe to get a feel for aggressiveness of betting.

AGAIN, THE QUESTION ASKER DOES NOT INCLUDE:

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL? I NEED THIS, TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER.

ALSO, WHAT IS YOUR BANKROLL? IF YOU HAVE A SMALL

BANKROLL, THEN THE TIGHTER GAME IS FOR YOU, AS

THE SHORT-TERM FLUCTUATIONS IN THE WILD GAME, CAN

DESTROY THE SMALL BANKROLL, IF YOU EXPERIENCE

A BAD RUN.

IF YOU ARE PLAYING TO HAVE FUN, THEN PLAY IN THE

GAME WHERE YOU HAVE THE MOST FUN.

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO PLAY FOR REAL, THEN

DON'T PLAY THAT SMALL OF A GAME! ! ! ! ! !

ANYONE WHO HAS READ EVEN ONE BOOK, IS GOING TO

BE FAR, FAR BETTER, THAN THE VAST MAJORITY

OF THE PLAYERS, AT THE 1-2 THROUGH 3-6 LEVELS, SO

WHY WASTE YOUR TIME, IN THE FIFTY CENT GAME?

SINCE THE COLLECTION IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME,

I WOULD SUGGEST PLAYING THE 1-2, NOT THE FIFTY

CENT, DOLLAR. THEN, IF YOU HAVE A SUCCESSFUL

RECORD, GO TO 2-4

BUT, FOR ANYONE WHO CAN AFFORD A COMPUTER, AND

EXPENSIVE POKER BOOKS, 1-2 SHOULD BE THE

MINIMUM LEVEL, FOR MONEY-MAKING PLAY.

NOT THAT YOU CAN ACHEIVE A POSITIVE EXPECTATION

AT THE .50 1.00 LEVEL, ADAM THE EXPERT USUALLY

MAKES BETWEEN 30 AND 50 DOLLARS,, WHEN HE

PLAYS AT THAT LEVEL ( TO RELAX, AFTER PLAYING MY

"NORMAL" LEVEL.

BUT, AS I SAID, IF YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FIFTY

CENT, YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY 1-2
