I would like to say how much I enjoy this site.

Also, I would like to add that I admire those that can play poker for a living. I play daily and I can't imagine the pressure that is added to a game knowing this is your livelyhood.

I truely understand when the pros say , "hey, don't quit your day job. this is a tough racket.".

I play at partypoker. 25 no limit mostly. the swings in the bankroll are incredicle. Coming off a bad day, this site really helps keep things in perspective. It is terrific to hear everyones experiences on this site.

So, my question is.... if you are a profession player... do you mainly play brick&mortar or online. and what limits and what kind of yearly income do you average.

I will understand that many people will not want to post these details.

Thank you for your time.

ha ha, what kind of yearly income? Boy you sure made my day,

with this joke.

Let's answer this question once and for all. Sorry to all my dealer

friends, but as far as ADAM the EXPERT is concerned, (and we

all know how accurate my opnions are) Non internet poker, is

as dead as the dinosaurs!

There is NO reason to play it anymore. Even friends of mine, who

use to play bigger than what is offered online, now simply play

between five and EIGHT 15-30's to30-60's at a time.

This way, you never have a five figure losing day, and can make the

same, or MORE income, than playing one, say 150-300 game.

The advantages are too numerous to list, in the available time

(just got invited to DEAL a pot limit game, accross the street)

Adam the Expert HATES dealing, but LOVES the compliments

of his skill.

But, consider this: In 1990, I saw a player two tables away, at

an Los Angeles Area cardroom, get KILLED. Guy beat him to

death with a beer bottle.

OK, the odds are WELL AGAINST you ending up mangled to death

in a car accident on your way to the casino.

But they are ZERO, sitting in the privacy and security of your home.

If THIS were the only reason for playing oneline, it would be

enough, and it is FAR from the only reason.

Always remember, Adam the Expert is NOT involved with ANY

online casino, and even if he were, his recommendation is

NOT for sale.

Gotta go deal

P.S. Try other sites, it's a good idea to spread your money, amoung

several sites.

I play B&M, mostly middle limits although I'll (like tonight) play $8/$16 w/ kill when the larger games are no good, and I'll venture into $100/$200 occasionally if the game is looking soft. Mostly $20/$40 and $40/$80. Other details are goign to have to be omitted as you suspected.

Well, usually I know some of the players. If it's a line-up that includes a couple of soft-spots from the $40/$80 who got lucky and are trying to parley a win which will get them even for the last 30 years - that's a good sign. If Roy Cooke, Barry T and Mike Caro are in it - it's a bad sign. :) If the line-up includes the same guys who were sitting there 36 hours ago and the floor informs me they haven't left - that's a good sign. If the hands are being played out 2 or 3 handed and the pots are small - it's usually a bad sign. If they're gambling and the pots are large - that's a good sign. If everyone's attention is on the football game - it's a good sign. Anyway - just a few idea's off the top of my head.

yeah, i just wondered about spoting softies at that level. seems like most are tough. good topic though, table selection. if you can read people, u can read tables and thats how u can comeout ahead easiest in poker, getting in the right game at the right time...
