KQ suited...how are some of you playing it?, INSINK, 7. Oct 2003 15:07

Folks, the last 3 times I played KQ suited I have lost....at times I raised pre flop, or just called..........is the hand overrated? Or am I running cold? ( full table, 4-8, 10-20, and 15-30 all the animals are at the table, but it tends to be loose/ passive, or loose/aggresive )

Thanks,

INSINK

"the last 3 times I have played I have lost"

enough said. No conclusions can possibly be reached on this. Its a drawing hand and will not hit the flop more times than it does. Furthermore this is a borderline marginal hand. suited is nice but it wont be the nut flush most of the time. A raise by a good player will usually mean it is dominated. KQ is a tough hand that should be played cautiously.

I will raise with it if I am the first one in a tight game where I may have a chance to take the pot right there. Otherwise I limp in early, so I don't prevent someone with AQ or AK from raising as they normally would. I want to know what kind of strength is out there.
