| Hey Eman, If you're talking about weekly tournaments: The Tropicana is the poker room that holds them. They spread a NL hold-em tournament every friday and saturday. The buy-in for the saturday event will always be $60 + a $10 entry fee. The ones held on friday will vary. Two times out of the month the buy-in will be $100 + 20. One week it will be $200 +20, and one week the buy-in will be $300 + 30. If you plan on making the trip, then call them first to find out which dates will have the buy-ins for which you prefer to play in. They usually get a pretty good turn out for their NL events. Here's their phone #. It's the direct line to the poker room. (609) 340-4171 4P- | ||

| Hey, To answer both of your questions: The turnout is usually between 85 to 100 players but it has known to go higher than that as well. Both fridays event and saturdays event will attract about the same amount of players regardless of the buy-in fee. As far as the competition goes?.......Well I haven't played in their tournaments in quite some time (been playing strictly cash ring games), but, when I did play in them, I'd say they were worth playing in. Of course you're going to find some really good/experienced players there, too (just like you would expect to find in a city that spreads alot of poker), but you're also going to find bad players, too. Tip: if you happen to notice two guys who are twins......they'll probably be two of the best players in the event. They play in the same tournies so they'll be really easy to spot, and they play in almost every tournament they have. (they're around 30 years old, and that's all I'm gonna say!). Good luck to you Eman. | ||
