| I recently was playing in the WSOP Round 2 $9+$1 entry tourney at Bugsysclub and had one of the worst run of cards I've seen in a long time. I had one pocket pair starting hand the entire tourney...I managed to get to 40th out of 122. I was wondering if anyone could share some ideas on how to stay alive and build a stack, when every hand you see is garbage. Thanks. SC | ||

It doesn't mean to play badly or anything........but sometimes, you have to take a stand, somewhere. When the blinds start to get higher.....even if the other players are getting knocked out and stuff.....you need to play a hand or two as well, otherwise you're going to get blinded out, and you can't build your stack if you don't play any hands. But I think that you may have to play something, or 'raise' with a hand (even a marginal one) before the limits increase too much. It's probably going to be harder for you to get close to the money when you don't get your fair share of starting hands.......but sometimes you need to be creative....and gamble it up! Survivng is key, and I believe that, BUT, making plays, and bluffing preflop and post-flop is done also. 4P- | ||
