Why cant I beat a $20 SNG?, iceman5, 2. Oct 2003 11:28

I posted a couple days ago asking about SNG's and nobody replied. I took another look at my stats and Ive placed in the money in 54% on my $10 SNG's and have a 65% return. But I cant beat a $20 SNG. I have 1 in the money finish (3rd) out of 7 that Ive played. I know 7 isnt very many to make a conclusion but since Im doing well in the $10's I wouldnt have thought I have this hard a time. The players dont seem to be very much better. There are less crazy people going all in all the time and there is more deceptive raising and blind stealing attempts but I dont think thats my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions for me (other than stick to the $10's)? By the way the numbers I posted a few days ago included the $20's which pulled my numbers overall numbers down as compared to the ones I posted today.

Hi Iceman

As long as you think the play level is equal on, it is probably just a statistical fluctuation. You might have overperformed in the $10 and underperformed in the $20 which gives you a skewed perspective.

That said, make sure you are not psyched out because of past poor performance....Such mental attitudes can prevent a player from EVER stepping up in class.

Life is Good :-)
