 Won my first multitable tourney on UB.!!!!!, Eman, 2. Oct 2003 06:48 | ||

| I just wanted to let all of you know that I wone my first multitable tourney last night of UB. It was $10 buyin with about 380 players, and started at 10PM eastern time. In the beginning levels I couldnt get anything worth playing. I was hanging around the 800 chip stack and that was well below the average. After the first break I was still below average, but quickly got some cards and made my stack close to 5000. IWith about 70 players left i was in 35th place. I loosened up a bit, saw a few more flops, pushed around some lower stacks, went all-in a couple times and noone called. They key to the tournament was this hand: I was around 11th place with 12000 chips, leader at 45000: Im in late position and get dealt 77. The table has really tightened up (blinds 600/1200). UTG raises the minimun, three callers, and I call. Flop comes: A J 7 rainbow. UTG bets out 1200 two callers, I push All-in, and all call. I take down a huge pot and my stack is well over 50,000 chips. I came to the final table in 3rd. Table was so tight, No body showed any strength. I woould raise with marginal hands (Q10s, KJo) and no one played. Finally it was there were only me and one player left, he was at around 100,000 chips, I was around 280,000 chips. The only big mistake I made was this: (I though it would cost me 1st place). Lots of blind stealing, didnt see that many flops. I get dealt AKs, I call his BB. Flop comes A 4 6, I bet out around 30,000, he raises another 20,000. Now Im pissed, I call the 20,000, Turn is a 10. I bet out 20,000 and he goes allin. I folded. He takes down a huge pot and shows me 46o for two pair. I should have raised preflop and been happy taking his BB. Anyway that put down to around 50,000, and he had over 300,000, But I fought back and actuallly had the lead again and the final hand, I raise preflop with KJs, he goes all in? He had gone all in several times to protect marginal hands. I call he flips over K10o. And I ended up winning a nice $1,150,00 for a $10 dollar investment. Thanks to all the great posters on here. | Nice job!!!! I played in that tourney, busted out around 50th place. I was at your table when you had around 5000 chips. In that 20 minute span, You were playing and raising every hand??????? what was that all about? | ||

| I remember people chatting with me about how loose and aggressive I was playing. But heres my logic behind it. In the first hour or so of the tourney, i was low in chips. I finally had some chips to play with. I raised almost any hand I had that was somewhat playable. At that stage of the tourney, you need to make a move to the top. You cant sit and wait for cards, and you cant be afraid of putting your tourney on the line, thats why pushed allin several times with marginal hands. Its similar to a saturday in a PGA event (moving day). I dont play the multitable tourney to just make it into the money and with $15.00. | ||

| i WON MY FIRST TOURNEY YESTERDAY TOO. $5 for $153 - YEAH. I have seen a lot of chip leaders get too loose and lose all there chip lead before. But congrats on the win Eman! Malachii | ||
