How do you convert percentages to Odds?
Example:
Four to a flush after the flop: Odds of making it?
(38/47*37/46) = .65 or 65% chance of not making it.
Or do you calulate the odds of making it?
47/9 * 46/9

You calculate the probability of making the flush by finding the probability of not making it and subtracting this from 1. So the probabiltiy of making the flush is given by 1-(38/47*37/46).

If you have a 65% probability of failure in anything then the odds are 65 to 35 against you, which reduces to 13 to 7 against.
If you have x% probability of failure, the odds are then given as
x to (100-x) against.

Yes, you make the flush approx. 1 time out of every 3 attempts. So on average, for every 3 goes you miss twice and hit once, giving odds of approx 2 to 1 against.
The odds are more accurately given as 1.86 to 1.

Yes, if you have four to the flush after the flop. Some people prefer to see it reduced all the way down, in which case it would be about 1.86 to 1.
