I am going to Costa Rica next Tuesday for 11 days and may be looking for a place to play. (It is my honeymoon, but my fiance can be talked into playing). I will be in San Jose for a day and a half and was going to go to Casino Europa (thanks WPT) but then we are traveling to a place called Tambor for 7 more days. I have found a couple of casinos in that area, but none list poker rooms. We will have a Jeep for the week, so we will travel an hour or two to play in a game.

Also,
Any tips on play there? Is it in US $? What limits can I expect? Can I dress like a tourist and suck in the locals? In B&M I usually play 2-4, 3-6, and 5-10 and will play kill versions of these. I just took $2000 between my party and UB accounts to bring with me so I would be able to step up if needed.

I have learned to hate other table games over the past year, and do not want to get stuck playing them if I can't find a poker room.

Thanks,
Guinnessman

Hi. I can't tell you much because I was only there for the (late, lamented) tournaments, but one thing I know:

Practice your Omaha/8. that is about all they play.

Good Luck (buenos suerte?)
