All I can see is that maybe you could have ben more aggressive off the flop if it was NL... if it was limit you could have re-raised to force the issue before any other hands develop.

Remember, those last 2 cards can change it all... you may win less by forcing the issue and taking the pot off the flop but it's better than throwing money at the hand and watching someone else rake it in because the turn or the river saved them. If you have two pair or better off the flop, start throwing harsh elbows to knock everyone out of your pot that you possibly can.

Hold 'Em is often nothing more than a more civilized form of dog fighting pit for humans... and sometimes you need to rip some throats out to get rid of people before they can out-draw you. It's not nice, but often that sort of rabid aggression is the best weapon you have.

And yea, in life people do say I'm a VERY nice guy... but so are some cornerbacks (football players) who will rip your head clean off if you dare to catch a ball in their area of responsibility. It's just part of the game, not personal.

So, if it's "my" pot and you dare to reach in for it I will hurt you... hurt you bad. Hit you so hard your great-great-grandkids will still feel the pain. That doesn't mean that I don't like you, I do... but that's MY pot.

HWOOD. WHEN YOU FLOPPED THREE 4'S, IT WAS MANDITORY TO GO ALL IN. THREE FOOURS IS NOT A STRONG HAND. LJH

if its not strong then why go all in......at this pt i did have the best hand but.....i did bet about half my stack he called and got luck on the turn. which in fact i thought i had it in hand with my 4 full of sixs. another reason i would not go all in is there is 2 fours on the board. i had 46o that not smart. he could have A4 or K4 or for that matter 74 so when the turn came 6 i infact got my full house. there is no way i could of put him on 66 with one in my hand and one the board. granted i did give him a chance to beat me but the chance was slim when i hit the 6 anyway i hope it comes up again id do it again.

You're going all-in to protect the hand. On the flop, you have a powerful hand but it is vulnerable on the turn and river (which you found out the hard way.) Betting hard on the flop tells Mr. 66 that you have a four in your hand and have him beat. At that point, it's likely a mistake for him to call (depending on how much your all-in was.)
