| I will be in vegas in October to visit family, and was wondering if there were any of you from there that I could meet up with and play a game or two...I really need help with my ring games andy'all have been nothing short of amazing with advice. I thought maybe this could help me improve my game a little...Whatcha say all? I am really good arm candy if all else fails...LOL Kimmi :) PS: My uncle plays at the Mirage, and tells me its the best poker room in Vegas, is that right? | ||

| Wish we were there the same time..but I will be there the last week of Oct. Guess I will play with my Uncle...heck, he's one of the guys that taught me this game!!!! Kimmi :) | ||

| kimmi , I enjoy playing at the mirage it is a very nice room. The reason I dont play there more than I do is that the rake is one of the highest in town for the games limits I play. somtimes it gets very crowded and the floor doest seem to be willing or have the man power to get games opened up. Sometime you will see lists 3 tables deep and empty tables. Another reason is some of the best players at any limit play there . Also some of the worst. In the games limits I play I need to be the best player at the table to come out ahead. I want to play against a table full of rich morons if you get my drift. One other good player cuts my expectancy down to the point where the rake begins eating into my hourly rate. I cant stop the drain represented by the rake, But I can slow it is much as possible . I can however do somthing about the drain represented by another good player. I can either whip them into submission or change games. Whipping them takes money and a fair break from the cards. Because of this those bets dont come back with much if any appreciable profit. At places like the mirage changing tables isnt usually possible with out a long wait. By all means check out the Mirage and the Bellagio poker rooms during your visit to our city. I would also suggest you check out Binions and Mandaylay bay and also the Orleans as well as some of the others. | ||
