| I see in some people's post that they refer to hold 'em starting hands as "group 1-4", group 5, and so forth. I also seem to remember that someone called these hands "Sklansky's group 1-4, group 5...". If this is a reference to a convention that David Sklansky has written about in one of his books, which book does he discuss this in? If not, what reference can I read that discusses this grouping convention? Thanks. Jeff | ||

| This reference is in both of his Holdem books, the original treatise (which I highly recommend), and the one for Advanced Players. Other authors have also adopted a similar method with slightly different tweaks (Lou Krieger's right angle graph comes to mind). | ||
