| Last night I realized why people think why poker online is rigged....I am in middle position with j10 - have not been at the table long but it seems like a fishy one. Flop comes Q98 with 2 spades. I bet a pot sized bet ($7) and get 2 callers. 4th street flops an X but a spade so now there is a flush potental out there. I dont think the other players are drawing for a flush so I go all in for about $20. One guy thinks for a while and calls (all he had left was about $12 )and the other player drops.....river comes X of spades and of course I lose to the player who called me with a Q6 (top pair low kicker) but of course it was the queen of spades.... Its after plays like this you really wonder why is he calling - does he know something you dont???? I know that in the end this was a stupid player and will pay me off greatly in the future - just damm frustrating. | ||

| Your right, The table did seem a little fishy?? You maybe one of the fish. You shouldnt of been in the hand to begin with. I almost always muck J10 from MP. But lets forget that and get back to the hand. What was the turn card? If it was a 5, 7, or 10; that would have given the fish even more outs to call. Just curious. Stay away from Garbage hands, they do more damage than good | ||

| Your right - looking back there was a low str8 draw out there...so I guess he had more outs then I thought - playing cards like j10 is one of the leaks in my game - I like the hand but rarely win with it so I don't know why I still play it .... I still think he was a bigger fish then I was... lol | ||

| My question, regarding the credibility of online poker, is how do you know that there aren't players communicating what they have in their hand (via instant messenger or telephone)? It seems that it would be somewhat simple to be the one player not in the conversation while others are talking under the radar. What is the general thinking regarding this type of cheating? | ||

| Thats called collusion. Most good poker sites have software that helps them detect collusion. You should report any suspicions you have. If see the same two people always playing together, a red flag should go up. If you see alot of raises and reraised and one of them folds on the river, a red flag should go up. | ||

| First of all, I have seen far worse calls than this. This is a bad player who thinks having top pair with a spade draw is a great hand. He has probably been paid off on this hand many times in limit games (where it is usually correct to call here) and is making the same play in a NL limit game (where it usually isn't against a bet like yours). He has 9 outs to beat you so he needs at least 5.5-1 odds to call here correctly. Obviously he doesn't. You should smile and know this guy will pay you off handsomely over the next hour or so. I hate getting beat like that too but there is nothing you are going to do about. I have seen way worse calls than that. | ||

| i think you should have reraised him after the flop. He probably thought that you were betting a marginal hand. He raised you and when you called, he was certain that you didnt have a hand. If you reraised him, Im pretty sure he would have folded. | ||
