| Cheers: - to Chasepoker for arranging the tournament - to Emma at UB for getting me on the list when i e-mailed her less than 10 minutes before the tournament started! - to everyone for being friendly and making it fun right up until my power went out. which brings me to.... Jeers: - to hurricane Isabel for screwing up Baltimore's power situation big time. - to Baltimore Gas & Electric for not having things fixed yet - to Comcast for the cable and cable modem still being out when the power came back on. | Aww....we felt bad for you about that. I was hoping you'd make it back on, 'cause being locked out of a tournament like that is no fun. I wasn't free from technical issues myself. My crappy computer decided to spontaneously reboot while I was sitting at the final table. Came back on and 1/4 of my stack had blinded away. :( Talk about bad timing! | ||

| heheh...good to know that I'm missed. I've been working like a small demon lately and have hardly had time to even stick my nose into other people's business here on UPF. Hopefully things will turn around soon and I'll have some moments for poker. I haven't been to Brantford in so long I forget what cards look like ... though I've made a little time for playing online now and again. | ||

| Those of us at the other table had to earn our chips. Sorry that happened to you Tpir. Like I said before awesome game and I can't wait for the next one. By the way, who was it that I knocked out that went all in with a pair of fours when I bet out My AK when a K hit on the flop? Sorry i don't recall who it was John WindycityJ | ||

| You must be "banter" then? That was me. I was going to fold until you said "I have something", then I realized that you had something good, but probably not a big pair. I don't know, for some reason I just knew you had either AK or AQ and I wanted to chip up. I figured you might fold or if you didn't I was a slight favorite and had pot odds due to the fact my blind was already in there. Probably a bad play by the book, but I tend to go with my reads when I'm pretty sure about them. I don't think I went out at that point however, I had about $300 left and made a brief comeback going all-in a few times. | ||

| No I'm WindyCityJ. I took out the guy to my left. I had AKs I reraised the pot preflop my left called all folded. Flop came K 10 x two hearts I bet out and get reraised all in. I ponder. Think I might be looking at a set but not so sure given his previous play. More likely a flush draw and he's trying to buy me out. I finally call and he reveals a pair of 4s . Turn and river no help. That was the toughest call of the tournement for me and maybe a mistake but it got me to the final table. Looking back I should have spotted the lower pair as most likely but I really did put him on bluffing at a flush draw. I was more afraid of him having K10 that a set but that would have been an aweful hand to call a pot sized raise with. John | ||
