| I'm thinking of playing my first live tourny. Its £50+5 ($88+8?) but it has rebuys for the first 1hr 1/4 and an add-on. Can someone give me advice about whether it is actually worth playing if i am not prepared to rebuy/add-on? I figure they must be pretty wild in the first hour or so (if i was prepared to go back to my pocket i know i would be playing my flush draws aggressively etc) and i also think that those prepared to rebuy/add-on are at a significant advantage to those who aren't. Is this disadvantage so big it wouldn't be worth my while playing? | ||

| Low limit tourneys are not worth playing if you're not planning on rebuying. You have to have all tools in your arsenal, and your competitors will be rebuying, likely prior to playing even a single hand. Eli on 23. | Hey James i presume you are a fellow Brit ? Which casino are you thinking of playing at ? I would say that you would be at a massive disadvantage if you are not willing to rebuy at least 2 or 3 times in these games as you will find a lot of people who will look to try and double up early on and it can be pretty wild early on in these. That said you can win them without rebuying but you might lose quite few chips in blinds in the early stages as you get to see a lot of all ins ealry on and of you arent willing to rebuy then you have to sit out a lot of the early rounds ( or be willing to go all in ). This is due to the fact that the blinds will probably start at 25/50 and go to 50/100 after half an hour and you will only get 1000 chips. Chasepoker | ||
