| I finished in the money in last nights tourney out of 178 players. I played pretty tight/aggressive in the begining. I only played 1 hand in the first two levels. I doubled my chip count with that one hand i played. I hung around the average chip count for most of the tourney, until this key hand: Blinds were 200/400 and I had about 3000 in chips. Two limpers to my check in the BB with Kc5c. Flops comes: K 5 2 all hearts. The hearts scared me a bit against two limpers. I bet 600, both called. Turn card: is a 10h Now im stuck: Im not holding a heart and I'm almost positive one of the other players has the flush. If I bet out here around 600, and get called, I'll be left with around 1400. With the blinds going up next hand, I would be around the low stack in the tourney. I went all-in, hoping that theyd fold. If I get called, I still have 6 outs to get my full boat. Anyway, they both folded. Was my play too risky? I know I got lucky and they both folded, would anyone else have played it this way.? I could get any hands worth playing the rest of the tournament. I got dealt pocket Q's - only to lose to K on the flop. I got dealt pocket A's in the BB and had no callers. I finally went all-in with JTs had one caller with pocket 3's: no luck, the 3's were good. and I finished in 15th place. | ||

| At this point of the tournament the only hands that might call you are....obviously the nuts Axh and possibly AhKx but that wasn't really possible. You made everyone fold. Aggression will work a lot and when it doesn't sometimes you get lucky. Good play. Any other big hand, trip, 2 pair, would have raised the flop. | ||

| Yead, I've played against him in a couple tourneys as well. Solid player. Congrats on the money finish. You didn't mention their stack sizes on your bet, but I think it was a solid play. I don't see someone limping in with AhX unsuited as Ax is generally either a raising or folding hand depending on the x. Either someone already made the nut flush and was slow playing it or they had small flushes that you could push out - the second option more likely. It could have backfired, but I think it was a good chance to take in yor situation. | ||

| I think I would have gone all-in on the flop instead at this point in the tournament, knowing that the only hands likely to call and beat me would be Ahxh or KK (and even KK could possibly lay this down if they read you as a made flush). I'm not sure I could pull the trigger betting all-in after the heart on the turn, knowing that anyone holding just the Ah will call and beat me, and I may even get called and beaten by a lower heart who's already committed to the pot after the bets on the flop. The extra 1800 that went in on the flop makes it a more attractive call for someone holding Qhxx and only the Ah can beat them. | ||
