A rules question....for tournaments only...., Risky Business, 22. Sep 2003 12:34

As many as I've played and watched in the past year, I can honestly say I was stumped by this.

In a limit tournament, I'm comfortable in saying that the minimum amount to bet after the flop is the big blind, then it doubles after the turn and river cards.

I played in a No Limit tourney this weekend and was forced to accept that the minimum bet for each betting round was the current big blind, and it did not double as the turn and river cards were dealt.

Does this sit well with anyone/everyone?

I suppose I don't notice because of the many prompts on-line, and my strategy of play in a B&M.

That is correct. Limits don't exist in NL the way they do in limit play, the minimum amount to bet at any time is whatever the big blind is, and any raise must be at least double the big blind (just like limit).
